Welcome to GABC Youth! Our goal is to disciple youth, teaching them about the love of God and the importance of becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ. We were all created in the image of God (Gen. 1:27) for the glory of God (Isaiah 43:7; Col. 1:16). We must understand that ALL have sinned, and fall short of God's glory (Rom. 3:23). We were born this way (Psalm 51:5)! By nature, we are sinners. Sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2). BUT, God loves us (EVERYONE) so much that he sent his Son (Jesus Christ) to pay the price for our sin (John 3:16; Isaiah 53; Romans 8:3; 1 Peter 2:21-24). Salvation requires that we believe! You must believe that you are a sinner. You must believe that God is Holy, just, and He hates sin. You must believe that God sent His son, Jesus Christ (who lived a perfect life), into the world to die for our sins. Jesus (who NEVER sinned) died for our sins (in our place)! You must believe that Jesus Christ conquered death and rose from the dead! Understand that this belief is not a "head knowledge." Those who truly believe in the Son (Jesus Christ), passionately pursue Him and desire to have a deep meaningful RELATIONSHIP with Him. Those who believe in Jesus (the way that John 3:16 talks about belief) passionately LOVE Him and Jesus says that "If you love Me, you will keep my commandment." (John 14:15 NASB). Everything "revolves"around these two greatest commandments, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:37-39 NASB). Jesus calls us to be His disciples and to follow Him. Make no mistake, this NOT a "one time event." Being a disciple of Jesus Christ is a lifelong pursuit of Him. "Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his live will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it'" Matthew 16:24-25. It is our goal to help students along their journey as they passionately pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ!
